Happy Playground Lowell, MA The first fully accessible playground in Lowell. Park program included new parking area and landscaping. Worked with parent group to focus on very specific requirements of physically challenged children. High vandalism required defensible design standards. Cost included new parking area, landscaping and walks. $128,000 |

Fayville Park and Playground Southborough, MA The first accessible community playground developed in cooperation with community parent group. Site improvements included walking paths, shade structure, picnic facilities and landscaping. Construction of facility done in part by volunteer labor force. Services also included wetlands filings and permits. Loker School Wayland, MA Developed plans which provided full access to existing play areas. Expanded the existing play yard and resolved drainage problems. Designed two new access stairways to keep children from utilizing grassed slopes. Greater Lowell Regional Technical High School Tyngsboro, MA Up-grade of existing tot play area to provide full access and improved safety at vocational day care teaching facility. Dunn Pond State Park Gardner, MA Designed play area for first fully accessible State Park. Playground area adjacent to beach and picnic facilities was very popular facility in the Park utilized by multi-age groups. Installed rubberized pavement under structure in combination with sand for resilient surfacing. Barn Coop Nursery School Concord, MA Designed playground for coop nursery school to be built by parent group. Assisted with equipment selection and overall site layout. Red Barn Nursery School Weston, MA Provided site layout for phased equipment purchase and playground upgrading. Addressed on-going drainage issues and coordinated plan with new septic layout. Central Avenue Playground East Providence, RI Urban park and playground requiring up-grade of play equipment and new basketball courts according to program developed in conjunction with neighborhood user group. Existing mature vegetation was protected and retained. Construction cost $225,000 Oak Bluffs Elementary School Oak Bluffs, MA Plan for 65 acre site incorporating new building, play areas and athletic facilities for school. Southbridge Elementary Schools Southbridge, MA Produced site plans and construction documents for the expansion of three elementary schools. Services included site surveys and wetlands filings, as well as meetings with community groups. Amenities included numerous landscaped courtyards, playgrounds and community facilities. West Brookfield Elementary School West Brookfield, MA Building expansion which doubled the size of existing facility. Coordinated multi-disciplinary team. Recreational facilities included play equipment, three baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and nature trails. Site work construction cost $500,000. Sweetsir & Donaghue Elementary Schools Merrimac, MA Site plans for building expansions, including entry plazas/play areas, restoration of fields, two new play areas providing age appropriate activities. Wellfleet Elementary School Wellfleet, MA Site plan for a major building addition in this traditional coastal community. Building and site features were designed to blend with the regional vernacular. Gemmellaro & Ciamitarro Park Gloucester, Ma Reconstruction of waterfront park including play areas, basketball courts and related improvements such as planting and paving. Construction cost $128,000. Riverside Park Gloucester, MA New playground within public housing site. Worked with neighborhood group to develop facility which would serve user group and provide defensible space.  Home
