Graves Landing     Cambridge, MA
Urban housing development set against a nineteenth century industrial canal. As part of the Lechmere Canal Redevelopment District, the area underwent extensive reconstruction as a public/private partnership. Graves Landing provided the residential aspect to the urban design plan which included a regionally significant enclosed shopping mall. Rooftop plantings were used extensively over the garage structure. The resulting terraces provide expansive views over the Boston skyline.




Hanscomb A.F.B.     Bedford, MA
Feasibility study for the phased development of this underutilized aeronautical facility. Proposed land-uses included commercial, industrial and air-related industry which is the existing major use. Large tracts of land unsuitable for development were designated as public open space. The study included infrastructure improvement cost scenarios.

2000 Tech Commons     Natick, MA
Site plan for re-use of the Wonder Bread factory as an Internet hotel. Site issues included developing a new 560 space parking area with plantings. Old building facades were heavily planted to soften expansive wall areas. Site development cost $1.5 million.

Develop Master Plan for image improvement to existing industrial/commercial office park. Improvements included new entry gates, signage and roadway improvements.

Master plan for site improvements to professional office park located within historic district. Included new landscape plan, lighting and reduced impervious paving.

Developed planting plan for this small scale commercial development. Extensive use of perennials allowed snow storage in winter months without damage to plant beds.

Merit Gas     Natick, MA
Revised circulation plan for site in order to allow larger planting areas. Considerations included plants which withstand highway conditions which require minimal maintenance.

Gym Express     Natick, MA
Designed parking layout and planting plan for the re-use of the Town DPW garage. Plan included streetscape improvements with new walks and street trees.

Planting design to up-grade facility image in response to Owner's marketing effort to revitalize and expand facility. Program included addition of 20,000 s.f. retail space and opening storefronts out to parking area.

ADESA Auctions of Boston     Sherborn, MA
Developed planting, grading and fencing plans to visually buffer extensive vehicular storage lots from roadway and adjacent residences. Construction cost $65,000

Marshall's Mall     Framingham, MA
Up-graded landscaping adjacent to building and in parking field to conform with Town Zoning By-law requirements. Final design review and approval by the Planning Board.

Golf Learning Center    Natick, MA
Developed planting plan to screen existing and new parking areas. Low-maintenance plantings were utilized in masses to present naturalized appearance. Cost $45,000

R.K. Center    Marlboro, MA
Planting design for parking area and wetland replication on ten acre suburban development site. Special considerations included maintaining storefront visibility for this site which is lower than adjacent roadway elevations. Cost $200,000
